Glamis Sand Dunes Elopement

Couples Photography

February 6, 2018

We have been wanting to do a Glamis Sand Dunes Elopement for the LONGEST time. Ever since we moved to Southern Cali, this place has been on the radar. We found the perfect couple who was down for the adventure and so we packed up the car and got ready to head out.

The drive was about 3 hours total. For the first 2 hours and 50 minutes you’re driving through corn fields and farmland. But then you get to the sand dunes. & it’s unlike anything else. This place makes you feel like you’re in another country, and once we all got out of the car we just stood there and admired it for a solid 10 minutes or so.

But, the real kicker of this entire adventure is HOW WINDY IT WAS. We’re talking like, face-full of sand and not being able to open your eyes because you had the possibility of going blind. Not even kidding. Yet, somehow these two made it look effortless and like they weren’t secretly hating us for putting them into this situation. (totally kidding). So, without further ado, these are the highlights from our crazy adventure into the dunes!

Huge thanks to all of the vendors who styled this shoot and helped make it EPIC!

When was the photo shoot done? I’m just curious because that is my boyfriend of 2 years and I’m just seeing this. I feel betrayed.

Loved this session! Gorgeous! Did you need a photography permit to shoot here? Thinking of doing my engagement here.

  3. […] Tucked away in the quiet city of Brawley, CA, Glamis is a landscape you wouldn’t believe is in America! Encompassing the nearby Anza Borrego Desert Mountains, these dunes are by all means an epic spot to take photos like we did in this epic session! […]
