We met up at Castle Rock Trail and hiked the first half of the trail to get to a viewpoint above the treeline! Big bear lake is popularly known for it’s skiing during winter, but the atmosphere during summer made for epic pictures!

Castle Rock Trail has the best views in Big Bear Lake! You can see the whole lake from above the trees and climb a giant rock that literally looks like a Castle! 

Where should I watch sunset in Big Bear Lake?

Not everyone likes to hike down in the dark after sunset, so we recommend going down to the lake to watch sunset! The east side of the lake has the best views because then you can look west across the lake for an epic view!
