We cannot get over this Blacks Beach Engagement Session! The original plan was to go to Torrey Pines State Reserve, but knowing that it would be crazy hectic on a Saturday evening, we made the last minute decision to head to Black’s Beach and the Torrey Pines Glider Port!
And, holy smokes, are we glad we did!
There was virtually almost no one there (except for down on the beach) and we just had to do a little bit of hiking to make it to these cliffs for these gorgeous photos. This totally screams “Southern California engagement photos” if you ask us! Mariah and Will were down for whatever ideas we threw to them, embracing the heat wave & standing dangerously close to the edge like bosses! After finishing up along the cliffs, we made the hike down to Blacks Beach! (which, if you’re a local here then you know that its a freakin trek to get back up) We finished the session with them running in the ocean because that’s just how we party!
Blacks Beach is actually the perfect place for an engagement session if you think about it, because there’s naked people pretty much everywhere. (This sounds totally weird but hear us out) So, in turn, it just makes the couple laugh and feel less awkward when they’re looking around!
Pro Tip: bring ice-cold lemon water to enjoy after the hike back up! There’s nothing more magical than looking back at the ocean, even 30 minutes after sunset! The gradient reflecting in the water was changing every 10 minutes, we can’t wait to go back!
