If you’ve been following us for a while, you know that we love adventuring on the beaches here in our own back yard – North County San Diego! Destinee and Mark decided to have their adventurous beach elopement in Carlsbad, California – so they said their vows barefoot on Terra Mar beach! 

Destinee got her hair and makeup done while hanging out in her ocean front room at the Cape Rey in Carlsbad! Mark got to hang out and enjoy sushi while she got ready…boys have it so easy lol.

It was so relaxing hearing the sound of the ocean waves crashing as we chatted with Destinee about how excited she was to see Mark’s reaction to her in her wedding dress! (spoiler alert, their first look was GORGEOUS!)

One of the thing that we love chatting about is overcoming hardships in our relationships and talking about what we learned along the way. Destinee and Mark inspire us because they spent 7 months apart while Mark was stationed overseas, but when they first saw each other again, they picked right up where they left off. 

Here’s what took place on the day of their adventurous elopement!

You thought we were gonna’ wear shoes on the beach? WTF is the matter with you? That was just for the photos. We left the Cape Rey hotel and headed for Terra Mar Beach – now it’s flip flop time😎

As soon as we got there, you could tell that Destinee and Mark were bursting with excitement to say their vows! I mean..wouldn’t you if you got to elope with the love of your life right here on the gorgeous beaches in Carlsbad, California?!

BAM! New wife, who dis?? Now let’s go for a little hike and get some adventurous photos!
